Timesaver Boxcar Lettering Diagram
Many have seen the BandO Blue with Orange comet paint scheme. This scheme was applied to 7 (some reports indicate 9) cars for equipment display, taken at random from the M-55h (467000-467599, blt 1947) car fleet. Cars were not found on the system and re-routed to the event but rather taken from a handy M-55h and painted for each event. Car numbers identified from photos include: 467071, 467109, 467226, 467286, 467434, 467439, 467577.
This Drawing appears to be a master numbered X-790. Another drawing in our files (X-79094) shows the paint scheme for 467109, dated 7-27-1950, with an Aluminum painted roof. Other cars show a Blue roof (it appears 467109 had both silver and blue roofs).
