Celebration of 200 years of Railroading in America

Save the Dates!     June 2 to June 6, 2027

The Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Historical Society and the Railway & Locomotive Historical Society are co-sponsoring a joint convention based at a hotel just outside Baltimore, near the Baltimore-Washington Airport.

Tentative plans are coming together with proposed events and activities including:

  • National Museum of Railroad History and Innovation (former B&O Museum)

    • Shop Tours to buildings and spaces not generally open

  • Several presentations in the new ballroom

  • Newly opened South Car Shop

  • North Car Shops with 1940-1960’s collection

  • Roundhouse and outdoor displays with historical exhibits and collection

  • Museum Archives

  • Exhibits-current and future

  • Rides on MARC to Brunswick and Union Station in Washington

Tours of railroad facilities in Baltimore

  • Recently renovated and updated Penn Station

  • Mount Royal station

  • Camden station and Yards

  • MARC maintenance and dispatching facilities

  • Baltimore Streetcar Museum

  • Trolley rides

  • Archives

All primary registrants will receive a copy of ‘B&O in Baltimore, Volume II’ published by the BORHS.
