22008 B&O RR Historical Society 2008 Color Calendar. The Society has published another exciting color calendar for year 2008. There are 16 pictures in all as follows: On the front cover, GP-7's # 3401 and 3406 are shown at Cumberland, Maryland, in 1960; inside the front cover, there are two smaller photos, one of two GP-7's picking up a mail-express train in Cumberland in 1960; another of E-8 # 1435 leading a mail-express westbound through Grafton in 1969; for the months, there is a great 1971 shot of Point of Rocks station; one of M&K Junction in the winter of 1971 with GP-9 # 6430 in the background; a shot of steam Q-4a # 4449 in the mid 1950's in Grafton; another of Alco FA-2 # 4014 at Cumberland around 1960; a great shot of SD-35 # 7402 getting a wash down at M&K Junction June 1967; Grafton yard mid 1950's when steam was King; an SD-35 helper set heading toward Rowlesburg; a 1967 shot of Phillipi, WV station built in 1910; a 1972 shot of a B&O E-unit ready to go westbound, waiting at D Tower in Grafton; SD-35's passing over Tray Run Viaduct outside Rowlesburg in October, 1967; B&O GP-9 and an F-7 on turntable, Grafton, 1969; a snow scene taken in 1972 showing three ex-C&O Alco RSD-12's at Gaston Junction, WV. The back cover has another shot of Grafton yard showing the Grafton wreck train on the inside leg of the wye. The shot was from the late 1950's. 5.00

22009 B&O RR Historical Society 2009 Color Calendar. The Society has published another exciting color calendar for year 2009. The theme of the 2009 calendar is one the Society has been trying to do for several years and finally succeeded. It is the B&O slogan, "Linking 13 Great States With the Nation." The 2009 calendar features a picture from each of the 13 states (plus Washington, DC). Appropriately, Maryland, birthplace of the B&O, is on the cover (with the Capitol Limited on the Thomas Viaduct, both "signature" elements of the B&O). Pictures in the calendar include: B&O E7A 72 pausing in front of the trainshed at St. Louis Union Station in October, 1948; a westward passenger train in the care of B&O P7 5307 preparing to stop at Newark in the autum of 1947; a B&O motor coach in front of the Columbus Circle Station at Broadway and 59th Street in NYC; GP9s westward at Harpers Ferry in 1973; Potomac Yard in Alexandria, Virginia, featuring B&O GP9 6469 and PC E-33 4609; The National Limited departing Washington, DC, in 1966; P7 5308 at Cincinnati Union Terminal in 1956; and others. 22010 B&O RR Historical Society 2010 Color Calendar. The Society has published another exciting color calendar for year 2010. There are great steam and diesel photos for all of you that love shots of the B&O. Oh, yes, there is a great calendar as well. Shots include an RDC-2 with dining accommodations leading two Budd RDC-1s on train 21 near Fort Meade Junction; The Capitol Limited with E8 1437 making the station stop at Philadelphia on a cold, snowy winter day; GP7 leading the Georgetown local freight over the Rock Creek Trestle in mid-1970s; E7A 1421 on the wash track at Riverside; F3 4430 heading west at Fostoria in 1961; Pacific P-5 5218 coaling at Cincinnati in 1956; GP-40 4008 pulling a Trailer Jet train on the Chicago Division near Fostoria in 1977; 0-8-0 1640 (formally 640) in Dayton in 1954; F3 4642 crossing the Nickel Plate at Fostoria in 1961; P-7D 5301 and P-7C 5318 resting between runs at Cincinnati in 1956; GP-7 6420 leading a local freight at Fort Meade Jct. 22011 B&O RR Historical Society 2011 Color Calendar of photographs produced by the famous photographer of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad from the 1930's until the 1950's, Bruce Fales. Specializing in action photos of steam engines, often with other railroad photographers, enthusiasts and friends, he made numerous photo trips to where the railroad crossed the mountain ranges in western Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. The Society is honored to be able to feature the photographs of Bruce Fales in our 2011 Society calendar. The photographs used in this 2011 calendar were originally shot using black and white film. The colorization of the images shown in this calendar were done by Bruce himself after he retired. 22014 B&O RR Historical Society 2014 Calendar featuring the photographs of B&O enthusiast, Herbert Harwood. Herb is famous for his outstanding photos taken in black and white, as well as his book written about his loved Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Shots include E-27b #207 at Strongsville, OH; Q-4 #4404 east of West Farmington, OH; EM-1 pusher near West Farmington; Q-4s at Lester, OH; the Painesville, OH engine terminal with several steam engines in the photo; the Cincinnatian with a pair of GP-9s at Toledo Union Station; Q-3t working the Lorain-Medina local; EM-1 #651 with mixed freight at Bannock, OH; the Capitol Limited out of Camden Station in July 1965; and a few other great shots. 22016 The B&O Railroad Historical Society 2016 calendar contains photos and captions from the history of the B&O Railroad. The 2016 calendar features photographs by John R. King taken in Maryland; Washington, DC; southern Pennsylvania; and West Virginia in the 1960's and early 1970's. Photographer John King grew up on a farm about three miles from the B&O in Boyds, Maryland, and "the railroad was always part of my life." Many of the early photographs in the calendar were taken with an ancient third-hand Edixaflex camera that had a waist level ground-glass viewfinder. 22018 The B&O Railroad Historical Society has produced its 2018 calendar with photos and captions from the history of the B&O Railroad. The calendar features photographs from the collection of J David Ingles, most taken by him. He was an editor for Trains Magazine and is now senior editor for Classic Trains Magazine. He photographed many trains from Detroit south and found many scenes on B&O lines. The 17 photos are of diesels except for one steamer, from as early as 1955 to as late as 1982. 6.00

22019 In celebration of its 40th Anniversary, the B&O Railroad Historical Society has produced another great calendar with photographs which concentrate on the history of the B&O Railroad in Baltimore MD. Many photos are from the collection of the Baltimore Chapter of the NRHS; others are by local photographers. There are an additional 4 pages this year, including a centerfold map with indicators of important B&O points of interest in the Baltimore area. 7.00

22020 The B&O Railroad Historical Society has produced its 2020 calendar reflecting photos and captions from the history of the B&O Railroad. The calendar features photographs selected by the Society's President Greg Smith from the vast collection of the Historical Society. The 15 color photos are of locations over much of the B&O system and include images of steam and diesel locomotives, a couple cabooses, and a wreck crane. 7.00

The calendar features photographs selected by the Society's President Greg Smith from the vast collection of the Historical Society. The 17 color photos are of locations over much of the B&O system and include images of steam and diesel locomotives, a Chessie caboose at Deshler, and an observation car. 7.00

22023 The B&O Railroad Historical Society has produced its 2023 calendar reflecting photos and captions from the history of the B&O Railroad. The photos are from the Thomas Underwood Collection at the Barriger Railroad Library in St Louis MO. The 17 color photos are of locations over the B&O system from Baltimore to McKeesport PA, with an outlier in North Vernon IN. The motive power images included are mostly of diesels except for one steamer and a Budd set. There are also photos of rolling stock and a station. 7.00

22024 The B&O Railroad Historical Society has produced its 2024 calendar reflecting photos and captions from the history of the B&O Railroad. The 16 color photos are of locations over the B&O system from Baltimore to Cleveland. The motive power images included are mostly of diesels except for 3 Class P Pacifics and a DT-4 wheeled, diesel tractor in the Baltimore waterfront. The majority of the photos are from the Rodney H Peterson Collection in the BORHS Archives Collection. Other photos are by John Endler Jr in the BORHS Collection (the Pacifics), by courtesy of Stanley Short, and by George F Nixon in the BORHS Collection. 10.00
